Team Chesterfield was created in 2004 by Gretchen Simard. The program, an accredited 501c3 nonprofit organization, is run entirely by volunteers. Team Chesterfield aims to send a delegation of youth athletes and coaches to represent a US city at the International Children's Games each year. Ms. Simard is currently working to make it possible for a team from Maryland to participate in the ICG.
